The materials required for both designs include riprap, geotextile, and fill dirt. The cost estimate for VDOT Class I riprap is $22.15 from a local quarry. The price for fill dirt is $11.20 per cubic yard at a nearby landscaping business. The cost of geotextile was $738 per roll ( 4,500 square feet).

The total amount of material needed and the corresponding cost for the Dublin Hollow site and Dam site are seen in the tables to the right.

Materials are the only thing that affect cost because the landowners will be using their own equipment to install the revetments themselves. The total price for the Dublin Hollow site was $30,900, or $65.10 per linear foot. At the Dam site, the total price was found to be $8,900, or $35.60 per linear foot.
